Palo Duro Canyon, Texas: second largest canyon in the U.S.

We snagged the second to the last available camp spot at Sagebrush Campground at 6pm 8/23. This was possible because the trails are closed due to heavy rain lately. We are told by another couple in the camp that staff post trail update notices early in the morning.

  1. Hi Sar, Congrats on overcoming your mechanical difficulties and getting the last campsite in this scenic Texas park. I took some screen shots from the Park’s website to share with folks up here in the North. Will you have time to do some hiking or are you “on the clock?” We’re winding up summer. I’m going camping in the Adirondacks starting Labor Day and Jim is going to NYC to see some Yankees games. Maybe I already told you that. Amazingly, my rotator cuff injury that affects some activities doesn’t act up when I’m kayaking. Am I lucky or what? Good luck as you continue toward your boat. So much drama! Love y’all. Don’t forget that right now you’re in the worst state in the whole country to have an unwanted or medically dangerous pregnancy. Meow! Love, Mom
